Jim Ironside, PGA

I would like to introduce myself; I am Jim Ironside. I am excited to join the team here at Sadaquada Golf Club as the new PGA General Manager.   A little bit of my background, I am an Oneida native, residing there currently with my wife, Gretchen and we just welcomed our first child.  Golf has been a passion of mine for many years.  I have worked in the golf business since I was a high school sophomore and have been playing this great game since I was 8 years old.

I am a 2004 graduate of Oneida High School. I received my college education at SUNY Delhi and graduated in 2008 from their Professional Golf Management Program with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.  While at Delhi, I completed internships at The Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, NY and Brook Lea Country Club in Rochester, NY.  In 2009, I was the Assistant Golf Professional at Teugega Country Club in Rome, NY.  I worked a winter season at Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida, a 45-hole Jack Nicklaus designed facility.  The next four years I was the PGA Assistant Golf Professional at Kanon Valley Country Club in Oneida, NY, some of the female members may recognize me from district events at Kanon Valley.  During those four years, I completed my PGA Apprenticeship and was elected to membership in May of 2013. In 2012, I was voted as the Central New York PGA Assistant Professional of the Year.

For the past three years, I was on the Northern shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont, running the golf operations of Alburg Golf Links as their Head PGA Professional.  I am very happy to come back home to CNY. I will be bringing all my skills to give you, the members at Sadaquada, a professionally run operation.  With these skills, I will be providing golf lessons, club fitting, club repair, tournament operations, a fully stocked golf shop, opportunities to win golf shop credit, rules of golf expert, a junior golf program, and much more.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, via email.  I look forward to meeting and serving all of you that call Sadaquada home.
